The ultra-light 5U weight (approx. 78 g) allows fast stroke preparation – drives, net kills and counter-smashes come with impressive speed. The head-heavy balance gives the light racket punch behind the smash; despite its speed orientation, it remains no pure "defense model".
The medium-flex shaft makes the Typhoon beginner-friendly: it forgives sloppy technique and loads even at moderate swing speeds. Those wanting more control and less whip will hardly find a better choice in the 5U segment.

Who is the Typhoon 5U made for?
Clearly suitable for: developing club players, hobby players with offensive orientation, doubles specialists who need tempo. Also a good choice as a training secondary kit for ambitious players.
Less suitable for: power-singles players with established 3U stroke technique – they should look for the Flareon 700 or the Nitrix Pro Srikanth instead. Defensive playing types should prefer models with balanced weight distribution.
